Being a mom is incredibly rewarding, there is no other job quite like it. We also know that it can be pretty isolating too, especially when the child is under six. The invisible tether pulling mom back home to handle the three hour feedings, frequent naps and bold emotions, can make even Supermom feel alone and out of touch.

Sharing the joys and pains of motherhood with others going through similar life events is reassuring, comforting and fun and our sites provide all those avenues and more. Providing them a tool to have conversations on a local level, such as discussions about area child care providers, pediatricians, etc., make it very meaningful. Helping moms create and expand their network of other mothers and offering them a way to connect, ask questions, give advice and just sound off – and do so on a local level, any time day or night – is what the iMoms network is all about.

Our first site launched March 9, 2007 with Knoxmoms, with simple message boards and directories. Now in a fully integrated social networking platform (think "MySpace" for moms, only safe and very local) that allows moms to create a circle of friends, blog, create photo albums and more, our communities are growing at amazing speed. We're thrilled to have built this "house", turned on the lights and let the moms come make it their own. And they have.

And we continue to grow. We are adding new functionalities, products as well as new sites. By the end of 2008, we'll have over 14 local iMom websites and have plans for even more expansion the following year.

We receive thank you messages from both users and advertisers every day. We know we've just touching the surface of this opportunity and look forward to learning more from our users to tell us what we should do next.
